We invite you to join us for events on this year's Summer Solstice, Friday June 20th:
7-8:30am : Walking Meditation Mantra and Collective Prayer at the Peace Park with Rain (Waterworks Trailhead, Minckler Loop)
7-9pm : Meditation with Sound Bath at the DawnStar Lodge with special guest Lydia Czech (9416 Upper Miller Creek Rd)
Solstice approaches---midsummer, mid-year---a polar point on a sphere of time. It is a primal/archaic day for reflection, communion and intentional meditation. We pray the fertile growth of spring has been inspirational and vivifying! The cosmic wheel continues turning us toward a lengthening light of day and we revel in the Summer Season’s warm and the illumination of our personal growth. Around us we witness life sprout into seedling, and pass through maturations that change from one form to another; budding, blooming, and fruitions, all taking shape and ripening in our dance around the Sun!
Let thus energy nourishes us, invite our co-creative ascendance, and guide our perception to trustworthy discernment.
What in the light is casting long shadows? What is calling to be cleansed out in the high waters? What is willing to be burned away---what practices and ritual can control the fire’s healing release before it takes too much? How are we pollinating collective visions and potentials? What quests are inspiring our soul’s journey here?
If you’re up for it, on Friday morning(6/20) at 7am, Rain invites you on an early morning walking meditation through the Peace Park on the Waterworks Hill. We can gather at the trailhead off W. Greenough Dr. and set intentions for our walk (7:15am). There is a meditation bell there to ring, and Rain will lead an Aum* with all beings willing! There will be space for the willing to give voice to healing, beneficent fruitions, forgiveness and Wisdom’s discernment. You will be welcome to stay, or to walk all the way round together and depart(8:30am) with this communion alive in us.
Solstice evening, 7-9pm at the DawnStar Lodge, Lydia Czech offers a relaxing and reflective sound meditation for the community to usher in the Summer together.
We will welcome each other, create a sacred space and share a sacrament. Jonathan will guide us into meditation, flowing into a soothing sound bath.
Feel free to bring items/ offerings for an altar of healing and intentional fruition. You are welcome to bring a mat/blanket, pillow, journal-for comfort and contemplation. Please bring a donation if you are able, no one will be excluded. Suggested donation $20-35.
We hope you can join us for one or both of these events!
