On April 20th we invite you to join us for a Spirit Renewal through Trance and Dance at Dawnstar Lodge from 4 to 7pm.
Ancient tools, simple and profound, can open portals through which we are able to cleanse, revive, call back aspects of our spirit and receive insights, guidance and healing. April 20th is a day many of our relatives will be celebrating Easter and the miraculously indomitable spirit of Love, in that spirit we invite our Kin to gather in the deeper ways of our ancestors: with rattle and drum.
Lizzi Juda will lead us in a Shamanic Trance/Dance journey- a practice she has been leading for some decades now. The trance journey involves holding a posture for 15 minutes while the drum and rattle invoke a trance state.
The Drum, like the Heartbeat of the Mother accompanying our physical evolution from basic cells to the complex house of our transcendent Spirit.
The Rattle, like the rain, a cleansing sound of chaos coalescing into regenerating patterns.
During this gathering we will create sacred space by smudging ourselves and calling in the 7 directions.
We will then engage in a short movement practice of following the rhythm of the music-attuning, opening and relaxing our body and spirit to our authentic vibration.
After moving we will circle back for the trance journey which is physiologically and neurologically altering-the speed of the repetitive sounds allow our consciousness to dissolve upon the threshold of our intent and surrender.
Like any entheogenic experience it can induce an incredibly wide spectrum of perceived phenomena so after we return from the journey we will have space to ground, reflect, journal and/or draw. There will also be time to share insights and some nourishing snacks before we part ways.
